I know someone offers a remanufactured female plug for a 1957 (FDE 11)factory electric Johnson or Evinrude 18HP. Trying to find that aftermarket supplier, knowing this is a pricey option as opposed to attempting to build my own. Any input will be appreciated?

      Thanks

Mark here is another option.  Peter at North York Marine has first rate merchandise no dought.   Sometime is don’t hurt to cut corners.  I ran two heavy cables and a light cable from the starter to a battery box and eliminated the pig tail connection.   Not original but it works good.  OMC somewhere around 1960 did the same on all the electric start motors.  I will try to post a couple pictures.

great looking fix to a $$$ problem !! 🙂      Purists aside  no reason not to modernize 🙂

A layer or two….of  1 inch  heat  shrink tubing  would  make it  look official !   some shops  (electronics)  sell the stuff by the foot
