Has anyone ever heard about or seen this motor? Single piston, 6ft driveshaft, water cooled. I have tried everything to learn something of this odd ball, without success
June 1, 2018 at 1:33 am #77183There’s a few in members hands. I recall an article on sidemount canoe motors including the Sachs a couple years ago in the Outboarder. I remember they had an odd-shaped water pickup – kind of like a hollow butter knife. Do you have pics?
If you don’t mind me asking, are you outside the US?
June 1, 2018 at 6:11 am #77195I’m from Wisconsin, have pics but on android and not downloaded to computer just yet. Any idea as to possible value of this thing? Pat

June 1, 2018 at 10:34 am #77199.
?
yeah, the bracket, the part that you bolt on the right and left side
of your boat ( canoe or a similar small rowboat )
on that bracket you can attach the Sachs sideboard motor
in German language "halterung"
open the link and study the pictures
