      Got this at an estate sale. Clearly a pennant pole for a wooden boat but i don’t get the little brass clip on the bottom. Any ideas?’

        This is a rebulbing plug for the top of a vintage bow light. It had a bulb socket mounted in the clip, which was then inside the bow light and served the flag pole socket function as well. Bob Grubb
