My Johnson Common Parts book says the same flywheel is common to both the 15 and 18hp.   I suspect Evinrude would therefore also be the same.

Ok thanks bob. Was thinking about converting my 56 15 to electric start.

A flywheel should fit from an 18,20, and 25 horse motor right thru the mid seventies. The tapers are the same. the mags are the same but thr ring ger teeth are smaller on later flywheels.

Here’s my ’58 FD with a later 70’s flywheel on it. It should have a flywheel with taller teeth on it.
