Went to Feathercraft.net for info on my boat, but got nowhere. What is an S4 246 58? Is there a better Fcraft website than Fcraft.net?

I didn’t think this was a 1948 boat, that’s what the title says.

One of "Hurricane Harry’s" projects is a 1955 Feathercraft Skipper. He needs to replace the transom wood and seats, also fix a nasty little dent on the port chine. Rather than fix/repair these important things, he’s spent the last 6 months polishing the outside…. I tried to impress the logic on him that he should get the boat usable BEFORE doing the cosmetics, but sometimes you just can’t reason with a teenager and not get a major argument…… They know it all….. 🙁

His has a decal located on the inside bow stem, here’s a photo:

It seems like there’s usually some small fragment of real information on titles!
My Aerocraft was identified as a Jetcraft — they got half of it right!

As for Harry, some of us never grow up! I always want to see how it’s going to look when it’s finished before I finish it!!

There is a ’54’ Deluxe Runabout near me for $1500, I saw it a couple weeks ago, needs some work but everything is straight. What do you think of that deal? I do just happen to have a MK50 that could go on it.

Anyone know what HP a ’58’ Skipper is rated for?

                    Harry’s ’55 Skipper is rated at 16hp.

                      16? That’s a joke, mine will easily handle a 25, easily!

Hey, you asked – but don’t take my word for it, here’s a closeup of the ID tag: 😀
