It looks like some sort of water pump or fuel pump I can’t quite figure it out..  I was just going to throw it away but I noticed that the connector looked a lot like a marine connector on the electrical…  Any idea?

            Another odd part found.

Some sort of strange combination of splined shaft and slotted shaft?

            Anyone?

OMC.  Used in the V-4 manual shift (not electric shift) gearcases through the 1960’s.

I have a huge swath of odd parts coming up..   as I work my to the back of my warehouse.. also a number of low horsepower motors.    Like this one.. so familiar.

I know I’ve seen this motor before but I can’t identify it see attached pic

Pretty sure that’s a 3/4 hp Water Witch. Cool little wall hanger. Once in a great while, they even might run. I had mine going for awhile, once.

The one I have would barely run on the original coil.
I adapted an OMC style coil and its better. It’s still
fussy getting it started and somewhat finicky when
running it. But the real problem, with mine anyway,
is it overheats the longer I run it. Fuel mixture
adjustments keep it going for a while but at some
point it will just stop and not restart. On my list of
winter projects. Taking Bill’s advice. Plan to shine it
                        up, and hang it up.
