      I got a 1969 Johnson 25 hp. today..What is the correct fuel ratio for this motor.? I was told 50 to 1…but I had in mind it should be 40 to 1..

        Some will argue but Johnson said 50:1

            Thakyou Frankr and crosbyman for the info..I wasn’t sure and did not want to ruin a motor..MerryChristmas and Happy New Year to you all

              40:1 is just fine if you plan to run it hard.  A little extra oil never hurt, spark plugs are cheap.  If you plan to do a lot of fishing/trolling, then stick to 50:1
