I have several fuel pumps from early, smaller 60’s OMC motors that are in need of new diaphragms.
Is there a good commercial source for this material?
Any "home-brew" remedies for this material?
      Thanks,
      Drifter

Ken W had a good suggestion in the members only section…

I ordered some of those gloves (at the link below) and am experimenting rebuilding those older pumps but haven’t been able to test them yet.

Nitrile for fuel resistance. It’ll be interesting to see how well it works.

Note: Installed material into a Hiawatha(Scott ) 5hp, works like a charm. Had a little leakage due to a loose pump body screw. Re-tightened and the leak went away. Next pump might have a little sealant around the edges.

Anyone know where to get the diaphragms already cut? There was a guy on ebay a few years ago who used to sell them.

an exacto knife around the pump cover used as a guide should do a nice job.

I use a cheap rotary (muliple sizes) leather punch for the holes. Works great.
