Fuel Pump In and Out

On a small fuel pump (Chrysler 9.2hp) how can I tell the “In” and “Out”? I did the suck/blow thing and seem to remember that the “suck” side is “Out” and the “blow” side is “In”.
Is that correct or have I got it backwards.

blow IN suck OUT is OK
