Just finished going over a Wards Sea King, built by Gail. It is a GG9001C.  Either a 1955 or 56? Bought it for $75 last year. Carb leaked. Got a float kit from Discount Marine and installed it. Compression was good and it sparked on both cylinders. Found and downloaded carburetor manual. Set up carb as per instructions.  Fires on one pull.

Here is my problem,  I don’t see a tell tail. Wondering whether she has a wobble and only spits? Now that it is running, I don’t want to burn it up.

Here are some pictures to help identify. I believe these side cowlings make it a 1955.

No tell tale as such.  Water should spray out as droplets being blown out the exhaust relief slots about half way down the backside.  Yes it is a wobbler rotor style pump forward of the propeller.  Should pump at all speeds.  The rubber rotor is commonly found to be swollen from grease leaking out of gearcase.

          EDIT:  1956 Gale model 5S12.

            Frank,

Thanks. Found a source for the impeller.  Have decided that when I pull it open to inspect it’s condition, I might as well change it out.

            Officially a good strong runner.
