In the 40’s in the Michigan’s UP today so working on the motor. I’m wondering if anybody knows if there is a list somewhere of the original factory length of spark plug wire for both the Top and Bottom Cylinders? I bought 6 foot of 7mm copper core and want to get the new lengths right. I unfortunately threw the original wires away when I disassembled the motor last fall so I can’t measure them. They have different part numbers in the manuals but no length is given, upper is part number 591336 and the lower is part number 591337.

      Thanks,

      Jeff

I normally just attach them to the coils and leave a couple inches long and then cut them to whatever length seems comfortable without them getting pinched, just make sure that you advance the throttle completely before you cut them to length otherwise they’ll pull tight 😉

Thanks Randy, that is what I will do. Good tip on advancing the throttle.
