Gale sealer 592588 = 3m847?

Putting together the crankcase halves on a Sea King 12 HP and notice that the Gale manual says to use sealer 592588 on one surface. I assume this is the same as sealer 1000 and 3M 847. Is that correct?

Not sure what 592588 was. Book says it was used on Gale only. That’s odd. Anyhoo, I’ve always used Sealer 1000, then 847.
