Gamefisher 7.5

Can anyone please help me identify the year and model of my 7.5 hp gamefisher? I can read the first 3 numbers of the model number “217”, and all of the serial numbers 08-194470. I need the year and model so I can find ports for it.

I’m not sure what year they switched over to “Solid State” ignition from “Points and Condenser”, but
that may help narrow it down if you know what your has.

Here’s a guy on ebay that is selling a variety of Gamefisher Owners Manuals.  Have a look at the covers and see if you can match yours up.  Then….after you get a idea of the likely year….go to the discount marine parts site that frankr linked to above….and pick a model number.  Then….see if the parts for that model seem to match up with what you have.

Not 100% definitive….but it’s a starting point.

Gary,

There is a Gamefisher Model Number but then there is also an engine model number.  That model number should be visible on the powerhead.  The carburetor may also have a tag attached.  These numbers might help you pin down the year.

Depending on exactly what parts you need….the engine model number may be all you need.
