Working on a wood boat with a permanent below deck aluminum fuel tank. The tank will have a sending unit for dash mounted fuel gauge. Is the proper grounding procedure for the tank to go to battery negative post from the tank? Or I could also go to neg. side of fuse block behind dash.
What is proper in a wood boat?

The fuel tank should be grounded to the negative battery post like the outboard. A grounded zink anode may be added to the outside of the transom to protect the motor in polluted water – or you can tilt the motor where not in use. . . 😆

Thank you Garry. I thought that was it but always best to check first with electrical before frying something.
