gear case leads

FOLKS,
Trying to find a Johnson/Evinrude Gearcase part #389700 or #432810. Ebay has not had much. Any leads would be appreciated. Since I am handicapped working old outboards is a hobby of mine, I can not travel to club meets so that hurts my ability to find good used parts at a reasonable price. Thanks in advance for any help.

1979 Evinrude 25 HP Model # 25904R. I need a Gearcase part # 389700 or 392352 or 432810 . A decent used Gearcase is okay.

Keep your eye on ebay…. But, be sure it is returnable…Oftentimes sellers are not always accurate about part numbers, model years, etc.

That would have the thru hub exhaust? Not positive but I think 30-35 horse motors used the same gearcase.

In later years they used the same gearcase, but in 79 the 25s had the conventional clamshell gearcase….But, the driveshaft is a bit different, so gearcases from an older 18-25 probably will not fit…

The 1979 25 & 35 did not have thru hub exhaust. 1979 was a new part # for the gear case
The gear case was the same for 1979 to 1982 25 HP
