      What do you guys us to get the years of marine crust off of 1920’s outboards lower units?  It’s like green concrete?

                try a soak in ethanol gas.

                  Dave, would denatured alcohol work?  I’ve got a lot of that from a prior project.  And, what is this stuff?  The entire engine looks like it was in a tar pit!

                    I have used denatured alcohol to clean up some grimy motors.   If you have some, might as well try it.

                      US MEMBER PAY BY CHECK

                      Start with boiling hot water and wire brush. Heat always helps and it’s much cheaper than ethanol or other cleaning agents.
