I am new to AOMC as well as to the forum…this is my first post. I have restored several outboards over the years and a few boats too. Currently am restoring this 1955 OMC/Gale Goodyear 5 hp. I have two primary concerns. First is to get exactly correct primary paint color..the metallic blue. Any suggestions? Does it match an early Evinrude blue? Second, Does anyone have suggestions for the decals. Mine are painted on but for obvious reasons I want to go back with decals of some description.

      Any direction/suggestion/resources are appreciated.

I also have a restored 1960 Stouter Built Boat. as well as a 3 hp Evinrude.
      Current Motors already completed:
      1969 Johnson 20 HP
      1966 Evinrude 3 hp
1977 Mariner 2 HP (THough I dont consider this a real “Vintage” motor)

These are the saved links I have for decals.
Some may have the capability to create what you need.
Dixie doesn’t have a web age, but a pdf is attached from
her, and I believe her email is on it.

Hopefully someone call help you on the paint colors.

Sea Bee Blue and Evinrude blue are not the same. If you have an unfaded part on your Sea Bee, like the underside of the gas tank for instance, just take it to an auto paint supplier and have them mix some up for you. Hey, they might even have the formula for Goodyear Blue and yellow It’s a Goodyear “thing”. If you will settle for less exact, I used Duplicolor BGM 0539 Light Blue Metallic (21 WA7470) and it’s good enough for me.

Those are some good looking motors. I always liked the colors. They are rare in my neck of the woods.
