I put it in the river yesterday. It started on the 3rd pull and ran like a top after the high and low speed needles were adjusted. After it warmed up it started on the first pull every time. It hit a log and broke one of the prop blades completely off. The good part is it came with 3 spare props.
I like the AD motors. They sound meatier than the CD’s!
If you hit the log hard enough to snap a blade off, you might want to keep an eye on the shock absorber under the water pump. If the motor feels harder to rope over, the spring may have sprung and needs a squeezing. How’d the log make out?
