sat up a display at our sportsman’s club bbq this past weekend. it paid off a guy seen my md38 and offered me a free outboard, said he would drop it off at my house, just found it. i have been thinking of doing a air cooled and this elgin is a great candidate i think. now to find a carb for her! any hints on were to find one?

Your Elgin takes an MD-1A or a upgraded MD-51A. Both of these are Tillotson carbs. Discount marine parts has rebuild carb kits for these and they have a chart detailing outboard brands to what carb fits.
