I have a Gray gearless # 225 which uses a tapered prop shaft and nut to hold prop to the shaft. No keys or pins. In looking at Jack’s web site I see two other Grays that appear to use this method, numbers 311 and 411. But the last motor shown, # 498, shows no prop nut holding prop tight up against the taper. The prop shaft end is flush with the end of prop. I can’t see what holds prop on. Does any one have a later model Gray that does not use a prop and if so what holds the prop in place and on the shaft?
