      Re-installing primer.The pins in the shaft are the issue.Are the pins inside the cup when it is installed or does the spring "thread" onto them?When I took it apart the spring was threaded onto the pins and the cup was convex end up and slid down over top of spring.First pic shows pins and what I assume is proper order.Second is how it was installed.

        Stanley…The top picture is correct…The bottom picture shows a common mistake with the brass cup. Hopefully, you have the thin washer that sits atop the upper pin and gets put on from the top.

          Thanks,Yes I have the washer.Just got new leather washers from Mr Lautner and want to get this diabolical little carb back together.

              Thanks,had that pic and lots of others,but none show the pins through the shaft.Re-assembled after your reply and all makes sense with brass washer in place and pins inside cop to hold it up

                Anytime…Earlier I could see your two pictures, but they are blank now when I try to view them. Maybe this computer is blocking them?

                Edit: a reboot fixed that. I see them now!
