      Hello!
I broke off two head bolts, drilled and retapped. What type of bolt should I replace with? Will any steel bolt from the hardware store work? Stainless steel perhaps?

You might be surprised to learn that stainless bolts in aluminum corrode in place worse than steel bolts do. The only advantage is the heads don’t rust.

I’d use Grade-5 bolts, from a "real" hardware store if you can find the right length. The non-graded ones from the big-box stores are real weak, but they might be strong enough, since they don’t require a ton of torque.
