I picked up 8 outboards yesterday and this is the find of the day for me. Monkey ward by gale but none of the numbers work for me. 3 or 5 hp? 40’s maybe?? It is complete and has comp and spark. 14EA-8823A 378-00124

        Third edition of Hunn’s book, p. 263, shows a 378 Sea King #8823 as 1941-42 and 3.3hp.

If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

Thanks Kerry, I don’t know how I was missing it. Prewar 3.3 , I’m liking it.

14 EA translates to 1941, built by Evinrude; I think.

So, it was built by Evinrude. I was checking it out today and it appears that can be made serviceable. Another neat motor for my rack.
