I have a two-blade prop in a Michigan Wheel box. The Michigan Wheel number is PJ 300. The box also says the Evinrude number is 376968. The prop is 8 x 7 1/4 pitch. All I’ve found out is that it will work with the 1950’s OMC 5.5 hp motors. Will this prop also work on my 1956 Evinrude 7.5 hp?

Members have access to Michigan catalogs in the inner sanctum. The 1956 catalog does not show your PJ 300 for a 7.5hp , different size and different pitch.

Thanks for the information. Looks like I have to buy a 5.5 now!

The Mich cat says  the std prop for your 7.5 is an 8×8 three-blade, so this should work ok.  Might gain some RPMs depending on your craft.
