Could someone please provide photos to help me restore the above motor (serial No.2603.)
1. A photo of the inside of the Atwater Kent ignition would be great as it appears the stop button isn’t working as parts are missing.
2. A photo of the pin arrangement for locking the bottom prop shaft bearing and the cotter pin set up that hold that pin.
3. A photo showing the screw and cotter pin setup that holds the pump cam on the drive shaft…… I gather that cotter pin somehow stops the screw from coming undone.Thanks very much in advance for any help.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Unfortunately my timer case is a bit different to yours, in that the brown insulation block (held with two brass nuts and screws through the bottom of the case on yours) was never in my setup.
There is only one hole with brass screw and nut through the bottom of my one ( and that is further to one side) which holds the condenser.
The other item not on mine, but is on yours, is the brass fitting at the front of the unit where the plug is, which makes me wonder if the plug on mine is not original………maybe there was a piece on the back of the plug which the stop button connected to for stopping the motor.
Thanks very much for your help once again, but it looks to me like there was quite a few modifications on the timers over the years.
I could make up something to do the trick, but I would like to keep it original if possible.

I think I will make up a stop system that doesn’t involve drilling holes through the case and which will leave the outside looking original
Regarding the plug, I suspect that mine isn’t original either.I haven’t had any luck yet with a photo or sketch showing how the prop shaft bearing is held with a pin and cotter pin arrangement…..the hole in the leading edge has me puzzled and the way the screw holding the water pump cam is locked, so it doesn’t undo and allow the cam to slide down the drive shaft.
Hopefully someone may be able to help.
