Help with Anzani Minor

Can anyone tell me how to separate the water tube from the water pump housing on an Anzani Minor? The water tube goes through the anti-cav plate, and I cannot open up the lower unit without taking the water tube out of the rear housing.

The water tube is a sliding fit through the cav plate and is a sliding fit into the water pump housing below that.

I suggest soaking and heating as required to loosen corrosion that is sticking everything together.

It may take some time so be gentle.
