      Hello, everyone.

First time user to the forum, but definitely in for the long time.

I recently received this boat as a gift, but don’t know the original year, make and model.

      I do have a title, and it says;

      1962 15′ Hustler

But as most here know, Hustler was not making boats for retail back then.

I did speak to Dan Umbarger, who took over production, and he says its not one of his.

So if there is anyone who might have an idea about this boat, I will include images.

Thank you so much, in advance.

              Thank you very much.

I have looked at several different images of the Crosby boats, especially around that year (’62), but the stern of the Crosbys are different.

Plus, the deck of the Crosbys were sectionalized, my boat is open deck, just the 3 seats (which don’t seem to be original).

It does have al Alan Jervis steering wheel.

Looking at the transom from the inside of the boat, there should be a manufacturers information tag that will list the year, capacity, max horsepower.  Usually made of aluminum and riveted to the fiberglass.

I will look again. Didn’t see it before at a quick glance.

But the manufacturing specs would be perfect.

True, its definitely not a Hustler.

Im still searching for it on the fiberglassics.com, so lets see.

But any help is greatly appreciated.

My concern is if I do find its not a ’62 Hustler, what do I do about the title?

And this boat which is not a Hustler?

                      Any thoughts?

If you’re just going to use the boat for pleasure, I wouldn’t worry about it.  Just use it.   I doubt very much if anyone cares about the titling on an old boat like that.

                        On the other hand.

If you’re going to restore it to collector condition and want the title to be impeccable then you have a problem.
