I suggest you contact vendor known as Big Rich regarding the Military
Surplus Bendix2 spark coils. They will fit and work. Some MacGyvering required.
Clear ,detailed instructions were posted on this site some time back.
The coils on ebay are Military Surplus single spark and also require a little MacGyvering., Reviving cracked coils is sometimes possible depending on on condition. 3 ways to go and all involve some MacGyvering as the right stuff is no longer around.
One thing certain, good spark demands good coils, condensers and
        points.
        Good Luck

I am in the process of doing just this. In my case, I filed out a relief in the magneto for the plug wire to pass under the new coil and loop up over the back outside. This leaves the wire routing out from under the coil to the plug the same. I found that I had to strip off about 2″ of insulation and solder the lead to the round button contact on the coil. The routing is very tight and you may be able to get it closer than I did, but then I had issues with getting the bake-o-lite (sp?) cover on. You need to be very careful that you don’t create an alternate path to ground. I may epoxy the exposed portion of the wire to the coil and coat with liquid electric tape. I get a very nice spark so my hope is that it will work. The route is the path that I found would take the wires furthest away from possible ground locations. Search the forums, as there was a thread on this not too long ago.

Tubs, what kind of tape was used to wrap the coil?
