I have been asked to carry the TD/TN25,26 etc…. gearcase seal kits on my website.

What do you all think would be good to include in the kit? I don’t want to add too much, where the cost increases, if all anyone really wants are the 2 grease seals for the TD20 for example.

What would you expect to get in the kits for the above mentioned motors?

Im adding crank case seal kits as well for most motors.

Anything else you guys feel is needed in our hobby that is not now widely available? Trying to fill the voids that some are having in finding parts/kits for the vintage/antique outboard. Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

http://www.myoldboatmotor.com is the site for those that have yet to see it. Its coming along slowly! Im new at IT type stuff. My hands are normally covered in too much oil to use a computer.

What I needed on my TNs was the little seal on the bottom end of the neutral clutch cable. It’s amazing how much oil can drain out through that thing.

          Thanks Frank. Good idea.

Is that the round o ring, with square shoulder that the spring pushes up against the bottom of the plate?

302349 "grommet". It’s a tubular thing about an inch long or so. Might be a difficult thing to source in large enough quantities for what you are thinking unless you can get somebody to repro them.

My only thought is to also offer a ‘gearcase rebuild kit’. In order to reseal the gearcase, both upper and lower gearcase gaskets must be separated. The best thing is to replace both of these gaskets at the same time that the seals are being replaced. These gaskets are not always easy to find.

                Okl thanks guys.

I was going to try to build one kit that would cover the TD TN (all models of TN) but think it might be better to separate them so say if you have a TD you don’t need to get some seals that may not be relevant.
