      This motor followed me home. I would like to know the year. model 75-om3-25-7960b. serial 40751316. 3.6 hp. I know was by scott atwater and was sold by Gambles.

        serial # says ’57. The model # doesn’t turn up in my book..

          Model 4075 comes up as a ’57 single with 3.60 horse power. That’s all I could find.

            Discount Marine http://www.discount-marine-parts.com/ob_hiawatha_2.html comes up with some similar and a not-so-similar model numbers. However, 4075 would be Scott-Atwater-speak for a ’57. It is customary for them to reverse the last two digits to indicate the year

              Thanks for the info. This is the one that I glued the magnets back on. Now has good spark.

                Looking at this list you can see the similarities in the model numbering system.

                  I do have the lower shroud cover for it. Looks much better with it on. 🙂 It runs pretty well, and idles right down.
