      I have a late 40’s or early 50’s Hiawatha outboard that I am looking for some information about. The only numbers on it are 550-393 which is on the block and I believe is the casting number, and the other number is 590003 on the carburetor. Any and all information is appreciated. I already know it is made by Gale Products. Thank you.

          Actually, 590003 is a crankcase found on the 3hp 1941-50 and probably more.

            So any idea what the other number is? It looks just like a casting number on a car engine. It is stamped on the piston housing on this motor. 550-393….with the dash in between the numbers

            Also none of those numbers on the chart are on my motor. Im confused lol!

              One would have to assume somebody has removed the model/serial number plate. Your best bet is to post some pictures. That number on the cylinder must be a casting number, does not appear in my parts book.
