      Can anyone tell me if the hinge pin on a 57 Johnson 35 hp (P/N is 303984)is straight or tapered? I would like to drive it out to separate the cowling. Thanks for any help

        I believe it is straight. The hole may be tapered. Heating will help. . .         🙂

          As Garry says heating will help, but the pin is splined on one end. Check out this reference pic off Ebay. (For reference only. Not the actual pin number.)
