I upload pictures to a photo hosting site – I use photobucket.com – it’s free. Then click on the photo at photobucket (or other photo site) and copy/paste the "IMG" address that comes up next to the photo into the text body of your post and the photo will come up when you submit the post.

Photobucket can’t be used to post photos from anymore unless you pay them several hundred dollars. Other online photo hosting sites are still working for free.

It’s just as easy to add photos from your computer to your post by clicking on the ‘Attachments’ button while drafting your post. After that, click on the small ‘Add Files’ button which appears and it will take you to your library.

Do non-AOMCI club members have that option?

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

I’m not sure but if they don’t, they’ll have to either join the club or use another hosting site like https://imgbb.com/

                .

Not sure where you got those photobucket charges – maybe someone hacked your account?

Photobucket is still free for me. An ad comes on saying if I want to skip the advertising load time, I can pay $2 dollars and forty nine cents a month.

PS I just made it up from a piece of galvanised steel roofing material……..saves a lot of mess.

No hacking issues, just Photobuckets attitude. You can still store your photos there but you can’t post them here or on any other forums it seems. An image appears where your photo was telling you to go to http://www.photobucket.com/p500 and pay up if you want to see your photos. Google it as it’s all over the internet now.

I used photobucket yesterday – uploaded a photo and posted it here without getting that notice to pay up. I have found that some usual copy commands to copy the IMG address don’t work, but I found a way to right click and use a copy menu that comes up and I’m still able to paste the address and use the photos in a post. Maybe I found a way around it?
