I put the tires on last night. I ended up using Green Grease on the bolts before reattaching. I tightened to 35 ft-lbs, taking a guess where my bolts fit on the chart link provided above (I got home too late to take my bolts to the hardware store to size them properly, but the threads sure seemed fine to me) and just going by ‘feel’. I will run it around the neighborhood either tonight or tomorrow night, then I hope to head up to the Great Lakes meet at Big Fish Lake this weekend (2 hour drive for me). I was planning to stop every 1/2 hour or so to see how the bolts were holding up.
On a side note, I always thought that my trailer had a slight lean to it. Turns out one tire was about an inch wider in diameter 🙂 so I should be straight and true with the new tires from now on.
