That looks like the same flywheel I have on my Model F… I posted about it further down and there are photos there.

Either f, no serial number, A(if there is one), B(if there is one), or C(which certainly does exist).  model G came with a wider exhaust manfold but that’s the only power head difference that I can think of happening.

Where would I look for a serial number?

Serial number would normally be on a tag on the gas tank if that is present at all.  otherwise I’m sure that there are part numbers cast into the cylinders or something, and these might have changed number over time so that could provide some definition.  I think that tag on the gas tank is the only actual serial number though I may be wrong.  The lower unit would provide more definition.  Some have the solid rudder and some have the hollow rudder.   The solid rudder motors have the water pump in the lower unit and look a little different from the later hollow rudder one if I am not mistaken.   The rudder steering arms in the picture look  like an older one before model C to me, but a model C is the only model I have ever owned.  The flywheel and power head stayed very similar thought these years and the only big change was the lower unit and the gas tank shape if I am not mistaken.  Also, the flywheel knob retracts on the model C, but I think it might not on the earlier models-or I am just making that part up in my head?  To me, it looks like an earlier one but I could be wrong.  What are you looking to do with it? If the lower unit is in OK shape you could probably get it running with a new gas tank and a carburator as well as a new timer and ignition system.  Maybe best for parts and find a complete motor to fix?

How can anybody can tell its a model “F from those views? Thats a rather grand assumption. You’re just guessing, not proving. I can already tell its not a model “F” flywheel from the thickness as well as the spark plug hole angles. On an “F”, both spark plugs would be pointing straight ahead. This one has the port spark plug pointing upward.

Please provide photos of the topside of the flywheel, the back of the motor where the rudder connects to the steering bar, and the lower unit and rudder themselves.  How the water tubes are formed (straight or spiralled) also are a tell. All of thosewill provide clues as to a rough identity WRT model year. If you don’t have the gas tank with the Elto ID plate on it, pinning down an exact model or vintage will be tough.

Here are some views of model “F” motors, note the spark plug angles and flat rudder with water pump in front of the steering bar.

I’ll get more photos today.  No tank.  The powerhead rolls over nicely.

Looks more like a Model C…Carb will help with this . Do you have the carb?

I found this carb in the pile but I don’t know if it’s original to this powerhead.  I’ll tag it if you can identify it.

Also found this timer that’s tagged as a “Super G” but, again, just from the parts pile. Probably mudddies the waters in this discussion but who doesn’t like looking at pictures?
