I can’t believe Im actually posting this because it’s extremely silly but here goes nothing. I have a 1990 15 hp long shaft Johnson that I replaced the water pump on. Im trying to get it back together and I’m having no luck with the shift linkage rod. I spent about 2 hours yesterday trying to get it back together and 4 hours so far today. I know this is a simple tiny job, but I’m stumped. I’ve gone plenty of water pumps and they’ve all been a struggle, but this one takes the cake. Rest of the work on the motor is done.
