Hello Everyone! I saw this photo on a Facebook site called ” The World Needs More ELTOS”
They were presenting this gentleman an award. The motor directly behind him looks very interesting but there was not any reference to what the engine was.
I once had a Speeditwin that somewhat resembled the lower unit.

November 8, 2020 at 8:49 pm #220411The photo didn’t come through. Can you post a link?I’m a member of that page, but I don’t see it.
ELTO made the Super C, Senior Speedster and a Speeditwin so it could be many different motors. Like this 1937 ELTO Speeditwin.

November 8, 2020 at 9:20 pm #220418If you are talking about the two men holding the “ELTO” sign, and one of them is using a cane, then you might be referring to the Sea King Twin that is on the RH side of the photo. The lower unit on it is similar in design to the Evinrude Speeditwin lower units of the time. As Wayne Beaton mentioned, that was a popular style lower unit, of which there were numerous versions used, depending on the model year.
Hope it helps.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

November 9, 2020 at 9:46 am #220451Well, Nice to meet you face to face in the photo.
I have never seen one of those Giant Twins. That rear cover or maybe it’s the exhaust manifold sets it apart.
Thanks for posting the information about it!
