I bought a 1966 Evinrude Folding Lightwin at the last outboard meet. The motor runs beautifully. The only issue is that the catch to hold the lower unit to the powerhead during travel doesnt hold properly. I’ll get around to fixing that later. The interesting thing about the motor is that it came in what appears to be a factory accessory bag. It’s very well made. Heavy canvas with a large commercial quality steel zipper. It doesn’t look like something homemade as it has the hallmarks of mass production. Could this be a factory accessory or just a nice bag?
Yes, I’ve seen those. That’s why I wondered if this was an "aftermarket accessory". It would be nice to have The fibreglass case, too. Probably better for travel.
