      Hey folks!

I’m looking for an outboard to strap onto a boat made by my step father. It’s a wooden boat, 13′ long and 62″ at its widest point, I’m not sure on the weight. I’d like to say under 9.9 hp so I don’t have to register and tag it, but think I need at least 7.5 hp to scoot around the lake in a breeze. I’d like to stay with the navy and white scheme, as that’s the scheme for the boat and trailer. I’m not a mechanic, so looking for something in good working order and relatively easy to maintain. I currently have a Gamefisher 3.5 that we just cannot get running consistently and I’m not comfortable taking it on the water.

Ideally it would be within 180 miles of Oklahoma City so I can come test it and pick it up. If the seller is familiar with shipping, and it’s guaranteed to work once it arrives, I’d be happy to go that route too.

As an aside, if anyone is interested in my old Gamefisher I’d love to sell it to someone that could give it a new life.

      Regards,

      Andrew Mills

mid 60s  MQ series Johnson 9.5 should fit the bill .  no need to register  low top for casting trolling ..

if you get one          get one in  later 60s  e/W vibration dampners brackets  on each side below the power head

here is the equivalent Evinrude  series

        Joining AOMCI has priviledges 🙂
