Are new j6c plugs pre-gapped to .030 or not? Doesn’t look like it. For some reason i can’t find my gapping tool.

They usually all are, but I check them quick anyways.

Found it! It appears they are indeed pre-gapped to .030. Thanks Champion!

They are usually OK , unless they were made on friday afternoon after the workers cashed there paycheck at the local bar. I always check the gap. . . 😆

Since "human" and "error" are usually found together, I ALWAYS check plug gaps. Most are within a few thousandths, but I have seen over 10 thou off before.

Some plugs have several different applications and maybe a different gap.
Today i bought 4 Champ L77JC4. My 25 hp call for a .040 gap. All 4 plugs were at .028
