      I have a 1964 Johnson 3hp (JH-19A) with a bad tank.

      In searching a p/n I find a different p/n for 3hp Johnson tanks for every year including: 57 (376888), 58 (377237),  59 (377629), 60 (377894), 61 (378167), 62 (378497), 63 (379017), and 64 (379212).

Did they really modify the 3 hp tank every year? I know the Evinrude has a different location for the fuel valve but the Johnson valve remains in the same place for the  eight years I have researched.

I need to buy one, but all I can find are numbers different than mine. Can I safely buy a tank with one of the numbers I listed above?

      Thanks,

      Nick

Most of the differences are color and decals.  But other differences do sneak in so be careful
