OK, well those heads gaskets have tabs on them with arrows. The arrows are to be pointed towards the exhaust cover in the middle of the engine. So, those raised tabs should be on the outer edge (intake side) of the cylinder block when installed correctly.
Before installing the heads/gaskets, make sure the rubber cooling deflectors are in place in the block as well. Your one picture shows the head gasket correctly oriented, the rubber cooling deflectors are in place also, check the other side of the block as well. These cooling deflectors are usually not an issue, unless the engine has been badly overheated or someone has inadvertently pulled the deflectors out of the block.
