November 26, 2025 at 11:33 am #301806748204 is a 1949 serial number, but there are no model numbers close to that in 1949. Maybe your post has a typo? There were four models in 1949 that had a D as part of them. If model and/or serial numbers are hard to read, please post a photo or two.

November 26, 2025 at 4:09 pm #301813Was yours made in Canada? I have a Canadian-built Johnson outboard with a serial number that does not line up with the American serial number records, but rather with the Canadian production records. The Canadian vs American serial numbers were waaay different numbers for the same year.

November 28, 2025 at 1:38 pm #301878You may need to resize the photo so that the file size is not too big(must be less than 2 mb). If you are emailing a photo from your phone to your computer(as is easy for me at least), assuming you are using Gmail, when it asks what size of photo to use, select one of the smaller sizes so that the file size that is emailed is automatically small enough and you do not have to resize it. Then you can upload the file onto your computer and upload the file to the website.
