Would anyone be able to give me some instruction 0n how to properly set the slow speed and choke settings on the A-25 carbs. I have been trying to follow the service manual instructions but I guess I am not understanding what they are trying to tell me. They say to back off the cover screws slightly to be able to make the adjustment .125 (1/8″) for the choke and .156 (5/32″) for slow speed.
Sounds simple enough, but I guess I to am simple, can’t seem to get what they are telling me to do. Any help?

It’s been awhile since I did one but the 1/8 they are referring to is how much the carb throat should be open at choke. You can use a 1/8 drill bit as a gauge.
You can use a 5/32 drill bit as a gauge for the low speed opening.

Thanks Tinker, I Got It! Sat down and had a cool one, thought about it a little and yes it was simple. Found a couple of steel rods the correct dia. for both settings and cut them into 4″ lengths and made a couple of gauges. All set for the next one!
