      When I install the two shims it makes the steering to tight. When I disassembled this part the screws were not tight. Do they belong?” target=”_blank”>

        There are supposed to be bushings/shims.Parts 13400-13402.

          A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

            No dings or burs, but the lower bushing is twice as thick. I will experiment with different materials, probably plastic. Also for the lower unit should I use 80/90 or corn head grease?
