My uncle gave me a "froze-up" Johnson DT-38, missing
rewind and mag parts. Just curious if anyone has
photos or ads of said outboard. I’ve searched the
net, and found a little info, i.e., made in 1938, 4.2 hp, etc.,
      but have found no photos.
It looks very similar to my 1940 HD-15, 2.5 hp, but "bigger".
      Thanks!

P.S.- Stamped on the top of the outboard was the name
of the owner way back, Charles W. Schock,
along with the serial number. I found one such person on Ancestery.com
      that lived in Minneapolis (170 miles south), b. 1881, d. 1957, who was a
machinist at Honeywell corp. Likely it was he that was
the owner. Who better to have the tools to stamp your
name neatly on the top of the motor!
Kind of neat to have a little "history" with the outboards.

      Prepare to be boarded!
