I found 2 outboards and considering restoring them. I would like to know what they are worth now versus restored and how rare they are.

      I have a 1937 Johnson Seahorse LT-37 and a 1938 Evinrude Elto Sportsman 4285.

My plan is to at least clean them up, change spark plugs/ wires etc and see if I can get them to start.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nice little projects you have there. Easy to work on , hard to find parts, the coil being the main challenge. They use a metal water pump impeller and grease, not oil, in the lower so that’s simple .
One thing you’ll need to do a bit of studying about is the poppet valve/ carb combo. Not voodoo science, but unusual.
