I am working on restoring a siezed FD-10. From what I understand, this model was made only one year by Johnson before it was turned into an 18 hp, and it was previously made as an Evinrude model. My favorite place to look for part numbers, Marineengine.com, does not have any parts listed for the FD-10 and its sister models that year. Looking for some assistance to track down the correct part numbers vs assuming that I can make something from a 55 Evinrude 15 hp work.

I might need new rings unless we can free them without breaking them. New crank seals, gaskets, coils, and an impeller. Everything else is pretty much there or we won’t know we need it until the rebuild.

It was actually in pretty good shape once we broke it loose. No rust and very little pitting. Bearings were all good. Just a little honing of the jugs. I figure we put it back together and give the carb some TLC that it will go live.

Any help on part numbers / sourcing and general rebuild advice would be appreciated

These motors have the same 2.375" bore as the ten horse motors and use the same 378416 piston rings. The head gasket is P/N 203247. Heck, here’s the parts manual showing the original P/N’s.

Mumbles, thanks a lot for posting all these nice parts manuals in pdf.
