      Should there be a gasket on the HD-20 carb lid? If so, would it cover everything around the float bowl ring (hopefully that description makes sense)? I will cut one myself but wanted to check.

        On my HD-25 there is a gasket. I’d assume there’d be one for your motor, but I’m sure others will chime in and let you know for certain. Good luck.

          There is a gasket p/n 302415 on the HD-25 in the lower right section of this page

              Yep HD 20s have a gasket. I seem to be able to tear them two out of three times opening the carb so I can vouch for them being easy to make.
              Two tools I’ve found incredibly useful for gaskets are a circle cutter and a single hole paper punch. Both are easy to find in art supply or stationary shops and really speed up the process.
