      As long as I’m in the "inquiring" mood, does anyone know
      what the tab with the hole is for on the tiller handle bracket?
      It’s on all the HD-25’s and on this HD-15, and
      I’ve seen none of them used for anything.
      Thoughts?

        This base casting was used also for the 1.5hp motor which had a different carb. That tab was for the linkage for the finger operated choke.

          I’ll have to look at photos of a 1.5 Johnson!
